Rachel E. Short is Visiting Instructor of Music Theory at Arizona State University's Herberger Institute School of Music. She teaches in the music theory sequence, and electives including Studies in 20-Century Music, and Analyzing Songs from American Musical Theatre.

Dr. Short received a Ph.D. in music theory from University of California, Santa Barbara, and a M.A. from Queens College, CUNY.
