Rachel McIntosh

I'm Rachel Anne McIntosh and I was originally born in Pleasant Grove, Utah and moved to Houston in the fall of 2000. Currently, I attend Klein High School. I currently am or have been involved in the band, choir, and full orchestra programs.

I am the youngest of four children in my family. My eldest brother is currently in college, my sister happily married and mother of a child not too far away from home, and my brother but a few years older than I is currently serving a mission for our church in Manaus, Brazil. My siblings are a major part of my life and they are my best friends. We've been raised in a good family by my wonderful parents.

I enjoy singing, playing the piano and french horn and am currently teaching myself to play the guitar. Original songwriting and just playing by ear for fun have been interests of mine for years, as music has always been a major influence in my life. It is a rare thing to see me not listening to music, dancing, humming, or tapping my foot to the beat of the song that is stuck in my head at the time.

I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Those belonging to this religion are more commonly known as "Mormons." I study the Bible and The Book of Mormon often and love the joy and blessings that I have seen in my life from doing so. One reason I love living in Texas is that I am surrounded by many people in my neighborhood and in my school who are strong Christians as well. Although they are not Mormon, we share similar beliefs and have similar standards. I love talking with them about Christ, God, life, love, the spirit, the Bible, Book of Mormon, anything... I have a strong testimony of God and Jesus Christ's love for everyone.

In my spare time (if I ever get any...) I enjoy writing poetry, doing the musical things mentioned above, watching movies, cooking, playing games with my family (especially Monopoly), reading novels and articles online and sleeping.

My interests, pastimes, and passions include: musical theater, psychology, artwork, learning, spending time with friends, crocheting, sudoku puzzles and spending time with my family (just to name a few!)
