Rachel McLean

I am currently a second-year Public Relations student at Durham College in Oshawa. I have completed my first internship at Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham where I worked very closely with the Executive Director and the Special Events Coordinator to put together a variety of fundraising events.

My second internship has been secured for the City of Toronto in the Economic Development and Culture Division. Working as the Event Programming Assistant, I will assist the Event Programming Supervisor with events such as Doors Open Toronto, PanAm Games Torch Relay, and ScotiaBank Nuit Blanche.

I am passionate about public relations and special events. I also believe in the values of feminism and the gender equality movement, which I strive to incorporate into my daily life.
