Rachel Ward
Chicago, Illinois
I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, the "birthplace of aviation." In 2009, I graduated from Spelman College, in Atlanta, Georgia, with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
Immediately following undergrad, I spent over five years developing and directing youth development programs. These included After School, Summer Camp, and Children's Defense Fund Freedom Schools programs. These programs were located in both Dayton and Columbus, Ohio.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and checking out Chicago’s great restaurants and sites.
Currently, I am completing a Masters of Public Service Management program at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. I recently had an opportunity to study Urban Planning and Community Development in Curitiba, Brazil. Additionally, I am a Grant Writer for South Suburban Family Shelter.
My professional interests include: developing programs, grant writing, mentoring staff, and all things "KIDS."
I am a Consultant with Clarity Creative Institute, and I work in partnership with Visionary Leaders Institute.
