Rachel Anderson

Michigan, United States

I am a writer of children's books: picture books, MG and YA. I'm humbled when a character finds me and says, "Tell my story." And that's what I've been doing for the past several years; learning the craft of writing so I can tell their stories. Currently, I'm marketing my four pictures books and the MG historical novel. My YA characters will have to wait a bit longer for their stories to be told; for now we are getting to know each other.

I have been a member of SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) for several years, and served the Michigan chapter for 7 years on the advisory committee and 1 year as co-regional advisor.

PB's: The Winter Artist; On the Eve of Halloween; Too Quiet!; It's Time for Bed.

MG Historical: The Puppy Predicament

YA: Lifelines (contemporary); Lagatha's Curse (fantasy adventure) -both in progress
