I love freelance/contract project work. I can't imagine doing the same thing day in, day out for the next 5 years. It's the variety that suits me - every project I manage is new. I love learning what makes a different industry tick and working out how to get a new project up and running efficiently. I work on built environment projects as well as general business projects. Diverse experience goes hand in hand with better problem solving. I love big ideas and the challenge of implementing them through strategy, structure, process and not to forget, good old fashioned "getting the job done" work.

I think differently.

I like never being able to answer the question of what I will be working on next year. I never know, but I'm sure it will be exciting! You can read more about my work on all kinds of projects on the links below.

I'm a serious soul - mostly calm, understated and (I'm told) reasonably insightful. I adore study, it's never far away from my life. I often take notes whilst reading. I fall in love with ideas and beautiful pieces of software technology. Right now in my spare time, I'm reading about cosmology, open data and working on social sector research. I'm tinkering with a variety of digital widgets to see what's out there.

I do have spikes of frivollity. I'm usually the first person to have a new hobby, and the last person you'd expect to be doing ... whatever it is. I like to try new things, see what I can learn from it and find out if I'm any good at it :) I travel rarely, but go for long soujourns when I do.

I am also passionate about the need for microwaves, dishwashers and washing machines to beep less, possibly not at all. I am unlikely to do anything about it in the short term though.
