Rachel is the media editor for the NewsTribune in La Salle, Ill., managing newstrib.com, editing news video and managing social media.
She was a Dow Jones News Fund copy desk intern at The Tribune in San Luis Obispo, Calif., and a copy desk intern at the Daily Herald, Illinois' third-largest newspaper serving the suburban Chicago area.
She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication (Concentration: Convergence Journalism) from Lewis University and served as copy editor and reporter for Lewis' student newspaper, The Flyer. She formerly held the position of co-editor-in-chief of Joliet Junior College's student newspaper, the Blazer, until graduating with an Associate in Arts Degree from JJC.
Additional internships Rachel has had are as a copy editor for the Excellence in Journalism 2012 convention's publication The Working Press, and as a content updater for OurSportsCentral.com.
Rachel is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists.
