The Elevator Bit.

I am a marketing strategist and communications professional specializing in business and financial services. I provide marketing and communication services and content development to large corporations, small businesses, and soloists.

The Longer Version (where I get to use more words).

For the past 15 years, I’ve been working in the world of communications and marketing. Well, 20 years really if you include the early days of being an advertising agency generalist -- fixing photocopier jams and cleaning Kodak slides, making coffee and tea trays for client meetings and running about for shoot props (everyone has to start somewhere).

Like many other twenty-somethings, I put in a lot of hours and effort in agency land. At one point someone noticed “hey, she’s great with people” and I moved from creative development to account management. I also spent some time in the market research department (a way to channel my 6-year-old-self’s ambition to be an archaeologist). But when I realized that the only way for me to really make a leap in my career was to go out on my own, I started my own agency with a handful of great, loyal clients and creatives.

And that’s how I spent a good number of years until a corporation came knocking and asked me to go client-side. For the following 14 years I lead a marketing communications team at a Fortune 500 financial services company. May I be so bold to say that I'm proud of my work and accomplishments there, and honored to have served and lead an incredible team.

But 2014 brought back the entrepreneur itch and it had to be scratched. Enter Blu Pagoda, a content, communications and marketing company with a collaborative approach. Making real my dream of building a modern agency doing great work, for (and with) great people.
