Advertising Major- Public Relations Emphasis- Art Minor

I am a senior student pursuing my degree at South Dakota State University.

After some soul searching and a change of majors (twice), I decided to follow my passion for writing and everything creative and declare my major as advertising.

Looking into my future, I can see myself working almost anywhere among the advertising spectrum, I believe so because I love writing, design and working with others. Combining all of these aspects into a career is exactly what I am looking forward to most. Agency life would be an ideal place for someone like me; I am also intrigued by a career involving public relations for a healthcare organization.

I can't wait to explore the advertising world and discover all the creative possibilities and opportunities that lie ahead.

As a student, I like to keep myself very busy! I am a part of Ad Club, I am the secretary for Staters for State, I keep up the Facebook page as webmaster for the Association of Education for Young Children club, and I participate as an art and special events committee member for University Program Council.

I love spending time outdoors and someday I would love the opportunity to travel and see new places. Other activities I enjoy include running, fishing, crocheting scarves and pot holders, cheering on SDSU’s Men’s basketball, reading magazines and eating chips!
