Rachel Grace
RACHEL GRACE, born and raised in The Hague (Netherlands), living in Los Angeles California right now, is one of the top live performers in the current dance scene.
Rachel began playing violin at age 3. With a concert pianist brother and opera singer/ jazz bassist grandfather, Rachel was soon admitted to the Royal Conservatory of the Netherlands.At age 10 she started touring Europe with the extraordinary Viotta Youth Orchestra (Budapest, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Hamburg etc). Rachel wrote her first string quartet piece at age 12 and it was performed by members of the Viotta Orchestra, conducted and applauded by conductor Wim Bredenhorst. Rachel won her first music competition at age 14 and got a Prix D'Honneur at the infamous Prinses Christina Concours at age 15. She had been improvising on violin and piano, writing and directing music for school plays and wrote a theater play at age 18 which made the newspapers since this young woman directed, composed, choreographed and produced such a grand scale musical theater spectacle.Rachel was asked to do musical direction for many theater plays and independent films, while playing with a Tango Trio, baroque orchestra, Flamenco group and Mariachi band, learning and enjoying many different styles of music.
At age 21 Rachel entered the club scene of Amsterdam, improvising with DJ's to dance music, firing up the crowds with her dancing and viruosity. Soon, she was flown all over the world to play with many DJ's and artists (Algeria, Morocco, Oman, Turkey, Spain, USA, Kiev, Italy etc). Rachel worked as a solo violinist with artists like Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Ebi Hamedi, AllMusic, La Ona, Raina Rai and many others.
Rachel now resides in Los Angeles, traveling and playing clubs and events, arranging music for artists, recording and working on various projects .
Rachel plays a gorgeous 1739 Georg Meisel violin and a mesmerizing electric Vivo Ice violin by Ted Brewer, custom bejeweled with rhinestones by Madeline Beth.
