Rachel Hoff

Rachel Hoff is a Master’s Candidate in Global Policy Studies at the University of Texas at Austin’s Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. She served as Director of Government Relations & Outreach for the Foreign Policy Initiative from its founding in 2009 until 2012. Prior to FPI, Rachel worked on Capitol Hill for a Member of Congress from Texas, at the American Enterprise Institute, and for various Republican campaigns and national party organizations.

While in Washington, Rachel was a leader in the DC Young Republicans and Young Professionals in Foreign Policy. For her commitment to encouraging youth involvement in the Republican Party, Rachel was named National Young Republican Woman of the Year in 2007. In 2011, she was named one of Top 99 Most Influential International Professionals Under 33. In 2012, she was selected for the DC Republican Committee’s 35 Under 35 List, honoring the most influential young Republicans in Washington. Rachel was elected by the voters of the District of Columbia to represent DC as a delegate for Mitt Romney at the 2012 Republican National Convention. After moving to Austin, she was selected as a Next Generation Texas Fellow.

Rachel was born and raised on a U.S. military base in Tokyo, Japan. She has also lived abroad in England and Ireland. She holds a BA from Tufts University in Political Science and Philosophy and a Certificate in Irish Politics from the University College of Cork.
