Rachel Jackson

Rachel Jackson is a Michigan-based journalist who specializes in politics, government, elections and public affairs.
During her time at Michigan State University, she worked as a political reporter for the campus newspaper, The State News, for which she covered the Gov. Rick Snyder's 2012 State of the State address, the anti-abortion bill discussions and protests, the 2012 Democratic National Convention and the 2012 election season, among other legislative and state capitol coverage.
Rachel first discovered her interest in news writing working for her high school newspaper, The Golden Sting in Saline, Michigan, where she earned several honors from the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association.
Rachel currently resides in Arlington, Va., and is an intern with C-SPAN.
