Rachel Keppner
Mother, Teacher, and Director in Idaho
I love and value my role as a wife and mother above all other things in my life! As a mother of 13 children, I stay very busy with my children and caring for my home and family.
I am also a full-time Choir and Drama teacher at my local Junior High school, teaching 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. Each Fall I produce a play with my Drama class students, and then produce a school-wide Spring Musical as an afterschool activity.
I enjoy serving in volunteer positions, and have been a board member of several non-profit organizations since 2005. I have served as a board member of non-profit organizations in both Arizona and Idaho, including Ammon Arts Community Theatre, Witness Music of Southeast Idaho, and Idaho Falls Youth Arts Center (IFYAC). I have directed and costumed for various community shows, including Shakespeare plays and musical theatre shows. I also LOVE performing in community productions, especially with my children.
I also have a passion for teaching and mentoring teens to appreciate the writings of William Shakespeare. Over the course of many years, I have taught Shakespeare classes, and directed play productions in homeschool groups. I have created resources that can help other homeschool communities teach and direct, as well. (Those resources can be found at curriculumsquare.com)
I love singing and performing, spending time with my family, and creating a well-ordered spreadsheet.
