Rachelle Janeczek

Hello! My name is Rachelle Janeczek and I am a senior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I am enrolled in the Isenberg School of Management where I am majoring in Marketing and minoring in Economics.

A passion I have is for creativity. Ever since I was little, I loved to participate in everything that had a way for me to express myself. Whether it be through writing, drawing, designing or just creating new things, I have always had an enthusiasm towards being creative. I have kept this love for imagination and new ideas throughout my whole life. Friends and family look up to me for inspiration on new ideas, from designing their room to helping them write a paper.

Over this past summer, I have gained so much insight into the world of marketing. By working at About.com, I was able to immerse myself into their fun and creative culture and really have a great time throughout my internship. I was able to plan events and run them to see the big picture come to life. Also, I wrote weekly blogs about upcoming holidays or events that readers throughout the country had the opportunity to see! I have been actively involving myself in school related marketing activities. I am in the marketing club where we use social media to promote teams and work with teachers to help transition freshman into their classes. Also, I'm a part of the University Programming club where we plan concerts and market them to the students at the school.

For my future, I plan to work for a marketing firm where I can help market a wide variety of products rather than for a company where I would just focus on their items. I am a hardworking student who is ready to take on the real world of marketing.
