Daughter of an American Navy Veteran and an Igbo Business Woman, Rachelle was born in London, UK and raised at the intersection of three definitive cultures; from which she always draws inspiration.
In her music you will find influences ranging from the euphoric sounds of Disco, to the multilayered harmonies of Gospel and the muted bass lines of contemporary Deep House. When it comes to vocals, Rachelle's opulent tone, has been praised for its 'irresistible warmth'.
Before becoming a Solo Artist, Rachelle spent years honing her craft in various Choirs and Girl Bands, prior to studying at the Royal Academy of Dance, where her pursuit of performance excellence found a deep connection in the works of The Ballet Russes, Alvin Ailey and Martha Graham. At University her dedication to the Arts earned her a Master's degree in Music, which she often credits for her holistic approach to Performance.
After spending some time touring internationally, supporting renowned Disco icons, Rachelle has gained international attention with her and DJ Khathia's debut Deep House release 'Piano Waves'. The EP released on DeepClass Records, received full support from Ibiza's biggest Radio station Ibiza Global Radio on DJ Miguel Garji 's 'Deep Fusion124bpms show'. Piano Waves also sailed into Beatport's coveted Top 100 releases chart receiving applause and a warm reception from a host of international DJs and Taste makers.
