1) For my strength, I chose focus. To me, focus means that I set very clear goals for myself and I refuse to let anything get in my way when striving to reach them. I identify with this strength the most because I feel it is a strength that the majority of my peers do not have. This strength impacts my academic, personal and social life positively as I will not settle for anything less than what I deserve.
2) The First Year Success Series was a collection of meetings that I attended that were meant to make my transition here at OSU a little easier. During my success series, I learned about things like time management and beating stress and anxiety. These lessons were helpful during my first semester in college and they will continue to be helpful for the rest of my life.
3) Our Lessons from a First-Year Buckeye activity called us to reflect on our first semester in college and express lessons that we would give to others who are getting ready to start their own college experience. Through this assignment, I was able to see just how far I've come since the beginning of the semester. It was rewarding for me to see that I actually have grown since being at Ohio State. This list of lessons will be useful in the future as I plan to pass it on (maybe an extended version) to my younger brother and sister.
