I'm trained in various therapeutic and relaxation massage methods and specialize in Awareness-oriented Structural Integration bodywork. In sessions I target not only the symptoms of pain or tension, but also support awareness of their physical and emotional causes; our posture, physical tensions, and body movements are cumulative manifestations of our life experiences and are inseperable from our mental and emotional reactions to life.
I graduated from an advanced massage therapy program at the Pacific Center for Awareness and Bodywork in Hawaii in 2012. I also hold a BA from the Johnston Center for Integrative Studies at the University of Redlands. I worked for over 6 years in social services and mental health. Realizing that treating only the mind is an incomplete approach for the complex and holistic beings that we are, I began my own journey to revalue and rediscover my own whole, non-dualistic self. I voyaged into experiential learning through traveling, wwoofing, permaculture farming, natural building, couchsurfing, and schooling. While the internal journey is constant and ever-present, I now incorporate this holistic perspective into Heart Embodied Massage to support the healing, wisdom, and full potential I believe is inherent in each person. I am passionate about holistic wellness, learning, compassion, play, ecstatic dance, sustainability, and gardening.
