Rachel Vallarelli

My name is Rachel Vallarelli and I am a Junior Sport Management major at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. I am also the goaltender for the Women's Lacrosse Team at UMass. My passion is coaching and playing lacrosse. I love that, through lacrosse, I can inspire and motivate young players to believe in and attain what some may deem the impossible. I believe that I can inspire and motivate change by being a positive role model for young players, someone that they can look up to and aspire to be like on and off the field. I also have a deep passion for playing the game of lacrosse. Every time I step on the field, I play for the love of the game, not for the score on the scoreboard, or for the stats, I do it for my teammates and for the game itself. My overall passion then, is to work to make myself and everyone around me better, on and off the field; to inspire change and action.
