Hi! I am native-born Texan who has traveled the world and discovered there is no place like home. I love good books, good wine, good food, Jesus and living on a dirt road.

I blog, dabble in fiction writing and try to document it all in photographs, much to my family's aggravation at times.

However, I am a darn good cook, which makes up for most of it. I spend my days as a personal assistant of sorts. I also help out at the local feed store where I was a manger 11 of my 33 years. Plus, I homeschool my daughter who has just begun a blog of her own.

My husband, 21 years my senior, is a farrier and a cowboy and a hunter. And he loves cats. He is perfect.
