In essence I'm a storyteller, usually opting to relate factual tales rather than fictional ones. Although I went to art school and have worked as an indie filmmaker, I have ultimately discovered that words are my medium. Now that the internet is so ubiquitous I find it an extremely compelling platform. Nothing has ever made me want to read or write so much. I love the immediacy of it all.

I was badly bitten by the travel bug after setting up Body Shop projects in India when I was 26. I spent about three years in Asia and have since travelled quite extensively in Europe and Africa. Prior to this I spent four months in the USA and went coast to coasting twice.

Many things have led me to be the person that I am today, but travelling and other cultures have to be the most influential experiences. The lessons learned on the road have been the most profound.

Writing is a form of introspective travelling. We learn so much in the process... and not simply about the subjects that we write about, but also about ourselves. I love that the internet is a place where everyone can publish what they want because it means that more people are fashioning ideas and expressing them than ever before.

Whilst non-fiction has been my stock in trade for the last ten years I have begun the process of writing a work of fiction entitled Itsus.

Itsus is being sequentially published online and can be read free of charge.

I'm deeply passionate about life and everything that supports it. I feel that wanton consumerism is essentially destructive both on a personal and global level. Consequently, I advocate 'buying less and being happier'. Quality, not quantity, allows for the exquisite. We don't need more... we need discernment!
