Josef Radel Lopez

Jakarta Indonesia

Coming from a family of musicians, Radel manifested his interest for music at a very early age by tinkering with an octavina when he was in second grade. He later joined two prestigious national performing groups, the Pangkat Pambata (at age 10) and the Bayanihan Philipine Dance Company (at age 13), of which the latter provided him the opportunity to travel all over the world. Radel was featured in an article in the widely-circulated Philippine Daily Inquirer, praising him and bestowing on him the title of 'Whiz Kid' for his ingenuity in playing various instruments and music-composing/arranging capabilities. He was tapped by no less than national artist, Dr. Lucresia Kasilag to be her personal assistant, leading to a scholarship grant at the Philippine Women's University. His other major achievements includes being musical director of numerous productions and organizations, guestings on national television and freelancing as musical arranger for countless projects.
