I was always fascinated by the Soviet people. In 1972, 1976 and 1979, I took photographs of them in the USSR and today, I feel nostalgic of these times. After travelling 25 000 km in my car all over the country, I returned home deeply convinced of the well-being of Soviet socialism. The USSR was a large and beautiful country, the soviet people very accessible and free! Yes, free!! I was myself able to photograph at will and had freedom to do whatever I felt like. Since my first trip into the USSR, my heart will forever be Soviet! The Soviet Union will return and we will rebuild the paradise of the proletarian! I am an Honorary citizen of the city of Bukhara (Uzbekistan, 1976) and received the Medal for Distinguished Labor by the tourism office of the USSR (Intourist Moscow, 1979). My channel is a tribute to all Soviet citizens who welcomed me, opened their doors and helped me on the 25 000 km of roads I went through, a trip which was neither hell nor heaven, but another bit in the history of mankind.
