I am a folklore researcher currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Research Institute for Islands and Sustainability, University of the Ryukyus. My birthplace is Bucharest, Romania. My home is Okinawa island, Japan. My current field is Yaeyama, the southernmost group of islands of Japan. I have a fascination for mountains and Japanese festivals, but I consider nothing in this world outside my interest range.
