Brasov, Romania
I live in the heart of Romania, in a mountain city called Brasov and I study industrial design at Transilvania University for my Bachelor's degree.
During my first three college years I has two focuses. One of them was the BlueStreamline Racing project and the other one was Incubator 107 Brasov.
BlueStreamline is a team that participates in Formula Student competitions around the world and is one of the most notorious and prestigious engineering contests for students. Every year, the students have to build a race car similar to F1 cars and enter a design/engineering/racing challenge with other teams around the world.
My responsibility in the first year was part of the power transmission system and in the second year I took the air intake system with 2 people under my command for the design stage. Also I manufactured it myself at Eurocopter Romania out of fiber carbon and fiberglass.
Incubator 107 Brasov is a project that I volunteer for. The Incubator 107 is a place where anyone can learn anything. We bring passionate people together to teach eachother and learn from each other in a creative, relaxed and fun environment. Here I do graphic design and event planning.
I am always trying to improve where I can and I am focused on personal development. That is why when I went to USA via Work and Travel program last year. I had an opportunity to participate in a pilot program of the visa sponsor CIEE. A leadership summit in Washington and I won a fellowship. That is where I met people like Phil Simon, VP of CIEE which later introduced me in the Sustainable Diplomacy Initiative.
Here along with founder Patrick McCafferty and a team of dedicated students, we are doing our best to come up with ways of improving the Work and Travel experience in USA and implement them. This is our way to make a big change in the world. Here I focus on graphic design also.
Otherwise, I enjoy traveling, meeeting new people and I am passionate about 3D modeling, driving, and arts ( I did theatre, drawing and music in high school. Sometimes I still do it every now and then)
