Raed Al-Emadi

Raed Al-Emadi is the QFC Authority’s Chief Strategy Officer since 2021. Prior to this, he was the Chief Commercial Officer from 2015, leading the Licensing, Companies Registration Office and Client Affairs divisions. In addition to the role of CCO, he has also been delegated the responsibility of designing, implementing and monitoring the transformation efforts to realize the QFC Strategy of 2022 as Chief Transformation Officer, leading the Transformation Office from June 2018 until present.

Raed graduated from McNeese State University (Louisiana, USA), with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. As an engineer, Raed has served in many prominent organizations within Qatar such as Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Foundation and Barwa Real Estate. He has been involved in delivering multi- billion dollar projects in hydrocarbon and real estate development industries both in Qatar and internationally (UK, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and Bahrain). He has been entrusted with many critical roles, including Chief Operations Engineer of Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP).

He has worked with Silatech, an initiative by Her Highness Shaikha Moza bint Nasser to address youth unemployment in MENA starting as Country Operations Manager in 2010 and eventually advanced to his post as its Deputy CEO.

An advocate for entrepreneurship: Raed served on the board of Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development as the vice chairman; as a Board Member for QBIC; as well as AFIF, an endowment fund by a Qatari philanthropist aimed to promote entrepreneurship regionally. He enjoys mentoring start-ups, and has participated regularly as a mentor in the “Stars of Science” entrepreneurship-focused reality TV show created by Qatar Foundation to shine a spotlight on the next generation of young Arab innovators. Raed has been featured as a judge in many business competitions both locally and regionally.

Often, he is invited to give talks about entrepreneurship in the Arab world to universities and joins panel discussions and he participated in several state delegation in the MENA region.
