Rael Levitt

Rael Levitt is a successful entrepreneur in the auctioneering business and has fine tuned the profession into an art in his native South Africa. He developed a passion for selling and auctioneering when he was a young man in university and now takes advantage of his business skills throughout the world. He is the recipient of many industry awards and has won global competitions for his work in the field. He was recently chosen as Grand Champion of Marketing by the judges in a competition sponsored by the National Auctioneers Association. His auction marketing efforts met all of the criteria for exemplifying the most creative, effective and visually appealing material of all the entrants.

Auctioning Assets

In 1998 Rael Levitt established the Auction Alliance, now known as the Auction Group. The company is based in several major South African cities but has business interests in all areas of the world. It is divided into four units that handle every type of asset or real estate that can be sold at auction. That includes residential properties such as homes or apartments, commercial property including petrol stations, office buildings, retail centres, apartments and land parcels. The capital assets unit deals with online auctions selling everything from aviation equipment, antiques and art to automobiles, maritime services and construction equipment. There is also an agricultural division that is responsible for such assets as farms and wineries.

Honours and Awards

With a keen desire to help others, Rael Levitt is involved with many types of charitable organisations and he sits on the boards of many committees. He joined the Young President's Organisation as a successful young entrepreneur and he was chosen as the winner of the Johnny Walker Jewish Entrepreneur of the Year Competition. He was also on the list of finalists for the highly esteemed Ernst & Young Global Entrepreneur award.
