For over 15 years, Rafael Amaral has been dedicated to the renewable energy sector, supporting the delivery of utility-scale power systems across several continents. With a background in electrical engineering, he recognized early that credibility in this field is earned through consistent execution. His focus has always been on ensuring turbines function, grids remain steady, and teams operate safely and efficiently.

Rafael currently serves as Executive Vice President at a renewable energy organization, overseeing full P&L responsibility for approximately $220 million across field services, projects, repowering, and asset management. His scope includes wind, solar, and battery storage projects throughout North America.

His professional foundation was built in Brazil, where he graduated as valedictorian in Electrical Engineering. Early in his career, he designed electrical systems and high-voltage substations, gaining valuable insight into how systems behave under operational stress. This experience became essential for managing complex renewable energy operations, where technical decisions have lasting effects.

In 2011, Rafael Amaral of Florida joined a global energy company, beginning with wind commissioning and site management. He was responsible for turbine delivery, technical coordination, and customer interaction. Over time, he led service teams in various Latin American countries, managing a region with roughly $10 million in revenue and about 120 employees. These experiences taught him how to lead across remote locations and define the operational boundaries necessary for success.

His transition to global leadership began with managing the workforce strategy for around 1,600 field employees across 25 countries. He later led global operations valued at nearly $190 million, focusing on reducing rework, improving safety, and ensuring predictable results through lean practices.

Rafael then moved into regional leadership roles across North and South America, with responsibility for organizations with more than 1,200 employees and $160 million in revenue. In 2024, he led the integration of over 10 acquired companies into a single platform, maintaining performance amid significant change. That same year, he became Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all construction and operations in the U.S. and Canada.

Throughout his journey, Rafael Amaral has remained committed to reliable execution, disciplined performance, and long-term asset value.
