Patient Care Administration in the Portuguese Mental Health and Addictions Clinic - A prestigious initiative unique in North America. This outpatient program provides linguistically and culturally appropriate mental health and addiction services to the Portuguese speaking community.

In addition to that, I am also a Portuguese Interpreter and Translator allowing for parlay of demonstrated organization, customer service, communication, and professionalism backed up by 08 years of a successful, profitable and rewarding career. Personable professional whose strengths include cultural sensitivity and an ability to build rapport with a diverse workforce in multicultural settings.

I am part of the team of Healthcare Interpreters in one of the largest organizations in North America where I am now helping to implement Canada's first in-hospital Video/Call interpretation centre.

I take pride to work at the same Hospital where once, the Insulin was invented and other life-changing contributions that have saved thousands of lives.

In the years 2009, 2010, 2011, I was recognized with an Award for outstanding services at UHN - University Health Network proving that Medical Interpretation is a key element in the relationship doctor/patient and extremely important in making health equality a reality.

In 2011 I became a Medical terminology researcher and part of a team who has been working on the development of the database is intended to assist in the delivery of interpretation services in the healthcare sector and to promote a greater understanding between healthcare professionals and patients.

I am also accredited by Citizenship and Immigration Canada through its Immigration and Refugee Board. Helping Canada solidify its diverse population by providing the opportunity guaranteed in the Canada's Chart of Rights and Freedoms of a fair trial or hearing.
