Se desempeñó como Jefe de Gabinete del Ministro (S) y Subsecretario de Justicia entre febrero del 2013 a marzo del 2014. Además, es actualmente profesor de Gestión Pública y Modernización en la Facultad de Gobierno de la Universidad del Desarrollo y profesor de Política e Instituciones en la Facultad de Economía y Empresa de la Universidad Diego Portales. En los años 2005 y 2006, trabajó en el Intellectual Property y Regulatory Branch del Ministry of Economic Development de Nueva Zelanda. Fue designado miembro del Tribunal de Propiedad Industrial por el plazo de 3 años, cesando su periodo el 10 de marzo de 2017. En agosto de 2014 se le otorgó la beca Chevening para ser parte del Master de Políticas Publicas en la Universidad de Oxford.
