Rafa Muñoz 穆凡

second language teacher and drummer in Ningbo, Zhejiang, China

I want to be an IB Mandarin teacher, anywhere in the world.

I have a degree in Teaching Mandarin as a Second Language, graduated from BLCU in Beijing, China.

I believe that as a non-native Chinese speaker, I have the advantage that I also learned the language as a second language myself, that means I have been through what my students are experiencing.

I have learned several foreign languages (English, Italian, Portuguese, Filipino) besides Chinese Mandarin and Spanish which is my mother tongue.

I'm all into new and more efficient ways to teach and learn languages, especially with the aid of technology.

I'm a Gemini born in the year of the Rabbit (Born in Puntarenas, Costa Rica)

I'm a drummer and pseudo-guitarist (Open D Tuning is my new passion)

I wanna be a part time musician and a full time dad...

I support The Venus Project (hope you go and check out what it is)

I like reading J. Krishnamurti. (You might as well check him out )

I'm looking for my Yoko Ono (If you know what I mean)

I listen a lot to: The Beatles, Bee Gees, Incubus, Ayreon, Dream Theater, Yes.

In my next job interview I will be even more straightforward and just say: "I wanna help the kids get their brains back, the one it was taken away from them when they were very little, help them become critical thinkers, awake from the delusion we live in, become active problem solvers (which we really need since we are in a lot of trouble right now and us the 'adults' aren't making too much about it) become better human beings instead of a working class hero, just another sheep, another slave, oh of course while helping them, in a very entertaining way to acquire a new skill which is a second language, or two (which they can totally do by themselves with a computer but I need the job so... ) thank you"
