Hi! In essence, I am two things. To start, I'm a photographer. I've been making pictures since the moment I could lift a camera. That was in the days when there was no buzz about mega-pixels. As a student it wasn't easy to gather the budget for film and certainly not for the necessary materials for a dark room. With the emergence of the digital cameras that budget problem was solved. Photography quickly grew from a hobby into a passion. The urge to always wanting to make better pictures has finally put me back in school. Until the end of June 2015 I attended a three-year training as a professional photographer at Syntra in Hasselt (Belgium). And recently I started my own photography business. You can find more about my photography on my website Castle14.be. I'm afraid it is in Dutch though, luckily photography is a universal language.
Secondly, I am a technician. I learned the trade of industrial automation in school and almost immediately found a job in IT-networking. In 2005 I was lucky enough to get hired by LPW Corporate. We design and build monoblock fiberglass swimming pools and pool covers in our factory in Aarschot (Belguim). I'm responsible for designing and building completely automated controllers for every appliance that goes with a swimming pool. I just love making things work by their selves!
I was born and raised in Genk, Belgium. Now I live in Heers and I am the delighted father of a spirited seven year old girl. I'll spend my free time with my family, photography, hiking, motorcycles or just doing good old plain nothing...
