My childhood passion towards Electrical and Electronics Engineering made me to choose the same for my Bachelor’s degree. As I started taking up the classes, I was very much entailed into my core subjects and never missed a single class. I acquired profound knowledge in many core subjects. But I didn’t stop with acquiring good grades alone since it was not my only intention of studying. I used to spend most of my free time in my college laboratories experimenting things that I have and haven’t learnt in class. With a wide ken of practical proficiency, I acquired full grade scores in all my laboratory examinations as well. All these hands-on experience paved the pathway for developing wondrous projects.
As a freshman I developed two projects namely, Intelligent Line Follower Robot and IRCAN [InfraRed Controlled Autonomous Navigation] bot (a four wheeled bot that can be driven and controlled by an IR remote). The next year, I invented, The Gesture Glove Controller, a specially innovated glove that a user can wear to control any industrial equipment with simple hand gestures, which is programmed to perfectly recognize every gesture of the user and respond accordingly. My final year project proposal, titled ‘ARM Processor Controlled Thyristor Based Harmonic Filter’, was approved and funded by The Institution of Engineers (India), a Government organisation. Another one of my project, titled 'Embedded System Based Auto-tuned Shunt Active Filter for Effective Harmonic Mitigation', was funded by Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturer's Association (IEEMA) and exhibited at ‘ELECRAMA 2014’ which is the world’s largest transmission and distribution exposition. I have also worked on many other projects which has endorsed my practical skills to a very great level.
Along with these skills that gave me a distinctive technical base, I developed the ability to multi-task seamlessly between academics, projects, technical events and other extra-curricular activities. Speaking of extra-curricular activities, I play good chess and billiards. I’m quite good at computer games and I’m also a good roller skater. I am more of an extrovert. I enjoy the company of friends and accept all kinds of people, from all walks of life, irrespective of their creed and cultures. I also have a compassionate trait towards the not too fortunate individuals in a growing country like India owing to which I have developed a habit of paying for suspended coffees.
