I have always wanted to be an engineer. Even before I could put a name to the practice, I loved learning about how things work, and physically interacting with these mechanical, biological and electronic systems. I have been working towards the dream for as long as I can remember, and now I have achieved my first role as 'engineer', at Watford General Hospital- working with a team of very dedicated, intelligent and knowledgeable engineers, having received much training, advice and help from the engineers at Homerton Hospital, where I previously worked part time in an administrative role. I am also completing a masters in Clinical Engineering in the hopes that the knowledge and experience I will gain will improve my skills as an engineer while also contributing towards my CPD. I consider myself lucky to be able to have been involved in such exciting projects, working with intelligent engineers and scientists. Whatever the future brings, I hope that this continues being the case!
