I am a Language Arts and Social Studies teacher at Lakeview Middle SchooI. I have taught grades three through eight over a period of 28 years in the Watsonville and Salinas areas and have extensive experience working with English Language Learners. I have held positions as Literacy Coach and Professional Learning Facilitator for the California Reading and Literature Project and am currently a Fellow and Teacher Consultant for the Central California Writing Project. In 2014, I received my Leading Edge Digital Educator Certification through the Santa Clara County Office of Education and PVUSD Certification Google, 2016 I have a degree in Mexican and Chicano History and a Multiple Subject/BCLAD from the University of California, Santa Cruz. I have two twenty-something children and enjoy exploring the cultural, historical and natural wonders of our state with my husband, Peter.
