“Raïs studied photography in Amsterdam and got a master’s degree in Advertising and Digital Creation in Brussels. After exchanges in New York and Shanghai, winning the silver award in the Brussels Emhackinaton and being a winning team for the One Club competition for agency Mother in London, one of the best ad agencies in the world, she decided to pursue what she really loved: straight after graduating she started her photography business full-time.
After that things quickly escalated and in less than 3 years time she booked out completely every year, shot over 200 weddings, both in Belgium as well as all over the world, including Italy, Greece, Spain, France, Iceland, Cyprus, Mexico, winning over 100 photography awards within a time span fewer than 2 years, such as the Young Photographer of the Year by the Federation of European Professional Photographers (FEP) in 2021. She became a jury member for the best wedding photographers in the world of One Eyeland, after having won that herself two years in a row the years prior to that and the BPP (German Portrait Photographers Federation) for the Young Photo Awards and the IPQ qualifications.
Meanwhile, she is a speaker and host, having spoken as a Canon Young Talent in 2019, only three years later to appear there as a speaker with the professionals for Canon on stage twice, and Fearless Photographers, one of the most well-known wedding photography communities in the world. Next to that, she got invited and is a member of the board of the National Association of Professional Photographers from her country, a Koy-Lab ambassador, and a representative for the World Photography Cup for her country in the wedding category for four consecutive years. She has been published in magazines like the popular photography magazine Shoot 4 times and in Brigitte, one of the biggest Fashion magazines of Germany and has had over 25 press appearances and interviews, both local press like NRJ, De Tijd, VRT news, HLN, Het Nieuwsblad and international press like London Times Radio, Sputnik News and The Intercontinental News to name a few. As of recently, she became Canon European Ambassador.
Today she has her own studio in Nazareth, Belgium, and focuses on her biggest passion: photography and everything around it including educating, writing, and speaking.”
