Raj Aheer
Vancouver B.C.
Raj Aheer is born and raised in Vancouver B.C., and has lived there ever since. Raj attended Charles Dickens Elementary school in Vancouver and was remembered as being a bright, charismatic child. As a child, Raj played a lot of video games, and was very into sports.
Highschool was a defining time for Raj, a coming out party so to speak . Raj developed into a young artsy person who was not afraid to express himself; and, a strong athlete who excelled in contact sports such as football and wrestling. Joining the high school band was probably the single best decision Raj made in High School. Athletic’s came easy; but, music was the key element to developing the left side of the brain, making him the dynamic person he is today.
After graduating high school with honors, Raj attended college and majored in Psychology. The study of human behaviour greatly intrigued him and helped nurture his analytical side.
After studying Psychology Raj realized that music is still a passion of his and he became a Digital Recording Art Engineer, studying at Columbia Academy. From there several music ventures were launched including a record label known as “The Crib”, and Raj’s first solo R+B song, I met this girl (and got down), that topped CBC’s New Music Canada charts for over a 6 month time period.
After his stint with music, Raj began training mixed martial arts and has been doing so ever since. Today he holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under UFC veteran Kalib Starnes.
Since then, Raj has been studying New Media and Web Development, and maintaining his blog which mainly covers sports.
