I teach programming and information security courses at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology. I also provide assistance and mentorship for deaf and hard of hearing students at all levels in the computing field.

My research interests focus on the intersection of disability law, accessible and educational technology, and human-computer interaction. Currently, I am focused on enhancing educational access for deaf and hard of hearing students in mainstreamed classrooms.

I worked in industry for over five years before returning to academia and disability law policy. Towards that end, I have completed a J.D. and LL.M. for disability law, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science.
