A director who is capable of crafting both deeply unconventional independent films and mainstream crowd-pleasers, Rajeev Ahmed has managed to carve an enviable niche for himself in Bangladesh. Since debuting in 2006 with Two in one, Rajeev has become one of the premiere bards of dysfunction, populating his films with a parade of hustlers, psychopathic girls, homicidal teenagers, and troubled middle-aged persons . Following his first zero budget video movie,Two in one, Ahmed directed Ovutopurba, Parul shamachar and Niyoto Niyotee Nitaantoi.

Rajeev Ahmed was born in Jessore, on January, 1980.The family stayed in Jessore during Rajeev Ahmed's childhood and youth as jessore is their hometown. Another constant in the director's early years was his interest in Movies and Music; and never been a good student in his student life.Rajeev's artistic leanings took him to the Chhabial (Mostofa sarwar farooki's production House) in 2005, where his job was to assist Mostofa Sarwar Farooki.

After spending time in Chhabial, Rajeev left Chhabial in 2006. He tried to make his own movies. But he was depressed. Rajeev channeled his frustrations into the movie named Ovutopurba on-aired in channel One, that was a film about a Psychotic young businessman who lost control over himself when he lost his wife by a car accident. After this period, Rajeev began to spend time observing the denizens of the more down to earth sections of Dhaka street life. He became fascinated by the existence of poor population, especially then he focuses his work on those existing on society's fringes, beginning with his Parul Shamachar.

Parul Shamachar's exploration of the lives of those living on society's outer fringes

Then he came back with a popular one named Niyoto Niyotee Nitantoi...
