Having built some businesses in media technology, financial services, insurance, and automobile sectors, Rajesh has performed across the geographies with global institutions like Tata, General Electric, Allianz, Zee and NBA, imbibing a strong awareness of opportunities and complexities in the emerging markets.
As founding CEO, Rajesh Sethi built and scaled specialty insurance provider Allianz Global Assistance India from an early-stage start-up to a large and profitable multi-country operations across India and Southeast Asia, building built last-mile network across 1,400 cities in India while expanding to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia with 750 motivated employees across Southeast Asia.
As global CEO of the leading sports broadcaster TenSports with presence in 19 countries, Rajesh transformed the organization, reversed its multi-year losses into profits, established TenSports as a formidable consumer brand and eventually divested TenSports for USD 385 million.
Rajesh is widely acknowledged for leading digital and financial transformation of SITI Networks, a last mile content delivery platform providing digital broadband and video subscription services. He expanded the operations to 55 million consumers, 14 million digital homes, 600 cities and 22,000 network partners.
As India Managing Director of the global sports league NBA, Rajesh expanded the league's India business presence, while prioritizing digital transition through direct-to-consumer Digital offerings, B2B licensing partnerships, foraying into e-sports and fantasy leagues.
Over the last few quarters, Rajesh has been an active participant in the ecosystem of disruptive innovation, pursuing entrepreneurial opportunities in media and sports.
Rajesh studied Mechanical Engineering at Bangalore University and earned his continued education from institutions such as Kellogg School of Management, INSEAD and Harvard Business School.
