Rajit Lal

Dr.P.L.Rajitlal, a dentist turned educationalist, now working as the Chairman of RITHS Trust, Trivandrum.

Dr.P.L.Rajitlal, is the first son of Late Advocate S.Pushpangadan ( Ex. Government Pleader and Public Prosecutor of Trivandrum District) and Smt.S.Lalithambika.

Ipassed his schooling from SMV School Trivandrum and and completed his Pre Degree from Govt.Arts College Trivandrum and have gone to Karnataka for Higher studies.

I passed my Bachelor of Dental Surgery ( BDS ) from SJM Dental College & Hospital, Chitradurga and starting practicing dentistry by starting his own clinic 'Smile Care' Dental Clinic at Sreekariyam Junction, Trivandrum.

In 1998, I became the Consultant Specialist ( Dental ) for the CHSS scheme of ISRO/VSSC/LPSC in Trivandrum.

In 1999, I introduced the India's first cashless Dental Insurance SMILECARE DENTACLAIM in collaboration with the Government of India Insurance Company- The Oriental Insurance Company in India.

In 2003, I started a college 'Rajitlal Institute of Technology and Health Sciences' now commonly known as RITHS is having a large number of collaborations with Top ranking British Universities and transferring students on a regular basis to 'Direct Final Year' Engineering degree programs to the UK universities.

In 2010, I have passed MSc Medical Biotechnology from JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University and in 2014 MBA from Shobhit University.

In 2011, my ambitious project 'Rajitlal University' obtained permission from the Government of Meghalaya and the Legislative Bill for the establishment of the university is passed by the Meghalaya Legislative assembly on 7th September 2011.

In 2020, Rajitlal University Act 2011 got the approval of the Governor of Meghalaya State and established as (Act No.1 of 2020).

Due to Covid-19, we couldn't start our classes in 2020, but I along with my efficient team of employees are working hard to tackle the situation and now in a very positive mood to start classes from 2024 onwards.
