Apart from being actively involved in the Information Technology sector I also like to spend some time in Innovation and reading Business Books, Books on Technology and Biographies.

Innovation, unlike creativity, is an end-to-end process that starts with a problem, issue, challenge, or opportunity, and ends with value creation. We’re at the verybeginning of the Information Age, where computers and the internet are allowing usto do previously unimaginable things. The byproduct of this innovation is that skillsets that previously led to being the ‘’Invincible’’ will likely become obsolete intomorrow’s world. In these rapidly changing times, creativity can be even morevaluable for determining what the marketplace and your competitors will do next.

I also like to remember one of my favourites- Chicago Bear’s Gayle Sayer. His life is a true inspiration to me.

The story includes the importance of faith in Gale Sayer's life. He concludes "The lord is first, my friends are second, and I am third. It relates how two people can be the best of friends, even in the worst of times; no matter what the colour of your skin or how different your personality may be. We learn about how Sayers handled his 1968 knee injury, his family, and some equally revealing words from his wife Linda. We also hear of his friendship with team mate Brian Piccolo, who's death from cancer became basis for the superb film Brian's Song.

This readable book provides sports excitement with the insights of a decent man unafraid to reveal his fears and flaws. Apparently, Sayers has been quite successful in business and philanthropic ventures since leaving the NFL - nice to see, given that many athletes ignore education and find hardship once their playing days end. Imagine the kind of world we could build if everyone would put God and others before themselves instead of the opposite!
