Raju Reddy MD

Dr. Raju Reddy, a prominent physician based in Pittsburgh, boasts a remarkable track record in the fields of pulmonary disease and critical care medicine. Beyond his professional achievements, he has actively engaged in institutional committees and dedicated himself to guiding the upcoming generation of pulmonary specialists. Dr. Reddy has also contributed his expertise to medical seminars designed for first- and second-year medical students.

After successfully completing his clinical and research fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the prestigious University of Michigan, renowned for producing leaders in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, he continued his association with the institution as a research fellow, lecturer, and faculty member.

Subsequently, he was recruited to serve as the Chief of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Section at the Atlanta VA Medical Center, followed by another recruitment as the Chief of the same section at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System.

Dr. Reddy is an active member of the American Thoracic Society (ATS), an international organization committed to enhancing the treatment of pulmonary diseases, critical illnesses, and sleep-related disorders. He organized and chaired a scientific discussion at the ATS Conference titled "PPAR-gamma: A Novel Target in Lung Cell Biology and Disease." Moreover, he has been an integral part of the ATS's assembly program committee on Allergy, Immunology, and Inflammation, a diverse group that encompasses allergies, asthma, genetics, immunological responses, and lung-related illnesses.

Within his specialty, Dr. Reddy serves on the editorial boards of various esteemed publications, including the Journal of Lung, Pulmonary & Respiratory Research, the American Journal of Pathology, PLOS ONE, and the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacology. He also assumes the role of an associate editor for Gene Therapy and Molecular Biology and frequently contributes as an ad hoc reviewer for numerous other journals in his field.
