Ralph Schwartz (RJ Schwartz) was born and raised in western Pennsylvania where he attended public school, graduating with honors. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Quantitative Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Pittsburgh in 1989. Although Ralph did not plan to make a career of writing, he enjoyed creating poetry dating back to his early childhood. Ralph went on to further his education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and earned his Master of Business Administration in 1999, focusing on Marketing.

Ralph relocated to Idaho in 2000 to take a position as a National Sales Manager with a large company. He continued his climb and was promoted to Vice President of Marketing where he honed his technical writing skills producing marketing materials and advertising copy for many years. His current position is Managing Vice President of Sales for a large North American Agriculture-based company.

As Ralph was climbing the corporate ladder, he was refining his writing skills in his free time. He had the opportunity to start writing freelance articles and had several magazine articles published, which kept his creative writing energy at a high level. The balance between poetry and business works has broadened his approach to writing and allowed him to explore ideas and topics that most people are unaware of.

Ralph's real inspiration comes from his wife Shannon; she inspires him in ways he himself cannot explain. She is the muse behind the volumes of romance poetry Ralph has written over the last decade. In addition to poetry of all kinds, Ralph writes about politics, nature, edible herbs, and a vast list of topics dealing with the unexplained and amazing things found on earth.

Ralph is the owner of two websites, www.creativeexiles.com and www.thegypsythread.org where he regularly publishes his work. He can also be found writing political articles on http://hubpages.com/@rjschwartz

Ralph characterizes his style as one that pushes the limits, both with vocabulary and from a descriptive and informational approach. He is a voracious researcher and finds value in bringing missing pieces of a story to light whether through prose or poetry.
