Thaelo Ramakoba


Thaelo was born in the tiny village of Sankuyo on the fringes of the Okavango Delta, Botswana, where she grew up with her extended family deep in the African bush.

After finishing her schooling Thaleo started her career as a housemaid in the Okavango Delta at a well known and luxury lodge, Khwai River Lodge. Taking on the training she was offered she became a Chef and after some years of hard work she became Head Chef.

In 1996 she moved companies to Wilderness Safaris as the head Chef of their Mobile safaris and spent 10 years working not only in Botswana but also Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

After many years of these mobile safaris Thaelo has joined Kingfisher Expeditions as Food & Beverage Manager and Executive Chef, desinging and preparing all their menus for their International guests.
