In short, I love startups. I enjoy doing work that's extremely impactful, with people who have a genuine desire to improve the way things are done. Building elegant products and dynamic cultures isn't easy, but being a part of that building process is extremely satisfying. Having seen our Waterloo-based tech startup Sweet Tooth grow from a 6 man team to 30+ (as both a Co-founder and sales lead), I have no doubt that startups are right for me!
I'm a sales person at heart. I thrive on analyzing the reasons behind buying decisions and coming up with creative ideas to promote products both old and new. As Sweet Tooth's first sales lead, I was tasked with building the sales process for Small and Medium Enterprises from the ground up. My responsibility was to understand our potential consumers’ business needs, develop a solution based on Sweet Tooth’s loyalty software and assist with the implementation process to ensure optimum ROI. This relationship-building dynamic helped me gain an intimate knowledge of our target market, one which would allow me to play an integral role in strategy formulation and ultimately the success of our company.
