Ram Kancherla

A managing partner with Hudson Valley Cancer Center since 2009, Ram Kancherla handles administrative and financial responsibilities for the private oncology practice, in addition to providing advanced care to cancer patients. Named a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly, Dr. Ram Kancherla was also recognized by Hudson Valley Magazine as a Top Doctor, as selected by local peers.
Previously, Dr. Kancherla served as chief of oncology at St. Agnes Hospital in White Plains. Experienced in stem cell transplantation in both clinical and research settings, he authored a chapter in a textbook titled “Stem Cell Transplantation for Relapsed and Refractory Hodgkin’s Disease.”
A graduate of Andhra Loyola College, Dr. Kancherla attended medical school at Rangaraya Medical College in India. He then completed a residency in internal medicine with the State University of New York at Brooklyn, followed by a fellowship in hematology and oncology with New York Medical College and Westchester County Medical Center. He maintains membership in professional organizations such as the American Society on Clinical Oncology, the Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, and the Dutchess County Medical Society.
