Ramon Aparece

Ramon Aparece was born in Fort Myers, Florida, in 1982 and raised in nearby Cape Coral, where his parents expected careful and consistent work as a basic standard. His father repaired heavy equipment and commercial trucks throughout southwest Florida. His mother managed housekeeping, guest services, and seasonal staff at a Gulf Coast resort.

At fourteen, Ramon took a summer position collecting golf balls from water hazards at a municipal golf course and spent extra time with the maintenance crew, asking questions about soil drainage, irrigation timing, and how Florida's subtropical climate affected turf maintenance year-round. A supervisor recalled that he carried a notebook and arrived each day with more questions. He joined the grounds team part-time before finishing high school.

After studying environmental science at Florida Gulf Coast University, Ramon Aparece earned certification as a Golf Course Superintendent through the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America in 2008. He has since worked across residential communities, commercial properties, and golf courses throughout southwest Florida, with a focus on irrigation design, soil health, and sustainable turf management. He mentors students entering the landscape management field.
