Ramon de Oliveira
Director of public companies in New York, NY
Ramon de Oliveira is an individual who has lived a Chinese proverb in his lifetime, having started his career in the late 1970s. He began by exploring investment banking and trading sales, but eventually decided to focus on equity markets and fixed income securities.
In the late 1980s, he joined JP Morgan as a senior executive and quickly rose through the ranks to become part of the bank's Executive Committee. During that time, he was involved in the transition of JP Morgan into its current owner Chase Manhattan Bank, as well as with the acquisition of a major stake in American Century mutual funds.
De Oliveira found time for other activities besides his career; he was heavily involved in cultural and civic endeavors such as founding the Louvre Museum Foundation in France. This earned him a knighthood from the French government, namely Chevalier des Arts et Lettres.
For over 14 years now, de Oliveira has been providing important advice and strategic guidance through RdeO Consulting LLC - helping people to improve their portfolios while also serving on numerous company boards including AXA Group, Hartford Insurance Company, Kaufmann Foundation etc., or advising entities such as Antin Infrastructure Partners and Investment Committee of Polish-American Freedom Foundation.
