Randy Shankle
In July of 1979 a cry from the Lord, "God, give me men!" began a divine Commission in the heart of Randy Shankle. This birthed an apostolic campaign to train men in a more intense understanding of the ways of our King and His Kingdom, cultivating them into disciples, sons and leaders.
But aren't all believers also Christ's disciples? Believers "believe" what the Bible says is true but handle that truth as passive spectators. In contrast, disciples choose daily to bring their faith into action as agents of the Kingdom.
Randy desires through his writing and speaking to advance the Kingdom of God in individual lives and see government of God expand in all areas of the Christian walk with Him. Randy understands that he is a steward of the mystery of Christ, and trusts to be found faithful in fulfilling the very cause of His domain.
Author and reader, alike, are part of God's royal priesthood. Therefore, Randy trusts that the ministry he has been permitted by Christ will increase readers more and more with the increase of God imparting into areas where people might be lacking, wanting or coming behind so that they may become established in the faith of both Christ and His Word.
"There is truly only one Author," Randy writes. "The scriptures are very plain on this. Hebrews 12:2 says, 'Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.' Notice also what Hebrews 5:9 says, 'And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.' Authorship belongs to Christ, stewardship is entrusted unto us."
Randy knows that no man has really written a book. He has simply copied from the original Author. The matters by which one writes, ministers, or speaks is of no original thought. Rather, they are reflected moments from the Holy Spirit's inspiration of the true Author Himself. The Holy Spirit will not speak of Himself. He simply takes the things of Christ and reveals them unto men. Randy, therefore, only delivers that which he has received from the Spirit Himself. "Copying Christ under the unction of the Holy Spirit is not authentic authorship, therefore I do not list myself as an author, but merely a scribe."
