Rania Kazan

Rania is an independent Executive Producer, Production Consultant and Show Supervisor. Work ranging from production planning and analysis, budgeting, to execution and delivery.

Previously Rania was Head of Production for Sony Pictures Television Arabia from 2010 till 2014, and was overseeing all programming originating from their Beirut office catering for the entire Middle East. She helped establish the company’s reputation as a center of excellence in the region.

Since assuming this role in 2010 Rania has either executive produced or supervised various international formats including two seasons of The Voice, Who Wants to Be A Millionaire Hot Seat, Sing It, The Entrepreneur, Jeopardy and The Winner Is... She has delivered shows for all the major broadcasters in the region including MBC, Dubai TV, LBCI, and Al Hayat. Rania also established Sony Pictures postproduction facility and has been a key figure in setting up the company’s graduate trainee programme.

Prior to joining SPTA Rania held various key roles in production companies in Beirut, including Head of Production and Operations at Endemol Middle East and Executive Producer at MBC. Selected credits during this period include X Factor, The Biggest Loser (3 seasons) and Ton of Cash. She divided her time between editorial content and production.

Rania is a graduate of the Lebanese Academy Of Fine Arts (ALBA) where she took a Diploma in TV and Film Directing. And currently she is a Member of the Educational Committee of the Department Of Television at ALBA.
